What Are Olfactory Cells?
Specific olfactory cells are olfactory cells that can sense only one or a few odors. Olfactory sensory cells are located in the upper part of the nasal cavity. These cells also have hairy protrusions (cilia). Nerve fibers enter the olfactory bulb. The olfactory bulb is an enlarged part of the olfactory nerve terminal. The principle of olfactory is unclear and far more complicated than the principle of taste. When eating, the subjective sensations of taste include taste and smell, which is why the degree of taste is lost during a cold. [1]
