What Is a Frequency Table?

A frequency meter is a mechanical indicator meter that measures frequency. There are many types of frequency meters, including electric systems, ferromagnetic electric systems, and inverter-type frequency meters that are rectifiers. Most of the installed frequency meters used to monitor the frequency at the production site use ferromagnetic electric meter measuring mechanisms.

The measurement mechanism and circuit of the ferromagnetic motor frequency meter are shown in the figure. A series resonant circuit composed of a fixed coil with an iron core, an inductor L , and a capacitor C is usually adjusted to resonate at the middle frequency (for example, 50 Hz) of the scale. The movable part consists of two coils, where the moving coil 1 is connected in series with the capacitor C 1 and connected in parallel with the resonance circuit. The moving coil 2 forms a closed loop with the resistor R 2 and the inductor L 2. When the pointer of the movable part deviates from the angle of the middle position of the scale, the moving coil 2 will receive a resistance moment that is proportional to the deflection angle and returns the pointer to the middle position. When the measured frequency is equal to the middle frequency of the scale, the resonance circuit resonates. At this time, the angle = 90 ° between the current in the fixed coil and the current phasor in the moving coil 1, so the rotation torque M = 0. Then, under the action of the moment of the moving coil 2, the movable part makes the pointer point on the scale of the middle frequency (for example, 50 Hz) of the scale. When the measured frequency deviates from the intermediate frequency, the resonance condition is destroyed, the rotating torque is no longer zero, and the movable part is deflected until the rotating torque and the resisting torque are balanced, the movable part will stop at the new corresponding to the measured frequency. Location. By changing the parameters of the series resonance circuit, different frequency ranges can be obtained.
The frequency meter is used to measure the frequency of the power frequency grid. For a frequency of 50 Hz, the measurement error of the frequency meter is less than 0.1 Hz.
