What is petrochemical?

petrochemical is a chemical that has been derived from oil or natural gas. These chemicals are usually extracted during the refining process because raw oil and gas are distilled or cracked and can be used in a wide range of ways. The explosion of industry in the 20th century led to the spread of products that included petrochemical components, and the demand for these chemicals is constantly growing because people are developing new products and new uses of these products. Refinery that processes such chemicals can be found around the world. These primary chemicals can further be improved to intermediate or derivative products that can be used in the production of finite use. Most petrochemicals are hydrocarbons that reflect the high concentration of hydrogen and carbon in the oil and are characteristic, albeit chemically, from fuels improved from oil. Synthetic fibers, rubber and other materials are also made of petrochemicals. Most people interact with many such products every day,From synthetic fibers used in a fleece jacket on a cold day to plastic used in the steering wheel design.

refineries can adjust their primary petrochemical production to satisfy the demand in different ways. When roba is improved, it can be treated with a fractional distillation in which it warms up to separate different components for use, or can be "cracked" by a catalyst that breaks the hydrocarbon chains and creates the desired products. Because petrochemicals are commonly in high demand, rafineries must be able to act quickly to take advantage of a favorable price and demand.

The refinement and production of petrochemical products in the final stage was criticized on the basis of environmental interests. Oil extraction and transport can have a very negative impact on the environment and the refining process can be very polluted and sometimes dangerous for neighboring communities. Petrochemicals also in theLMI slowly disintegrates in the natural environment and causes problems regarding proper use and disposal of consumer products. Also, these products are not renewable because they come from sources built over millions of years, which means that once the world's oil and natural gas deposits are exhausted, a serious problem may occur for the petrochemical industry.
