What Is a Barista Competition?

The China Barista Contest implements a three-tier system of divisional trials, national semifinals and national finals. People from all walks of life who live and work in China are not limited to men and women and nationality. The purpose of holding the competition is to establish a link between companies and baristas, build a platform for outstanding baristas to show themselves and compete on the same stage, and promote the development of China's coffee industry.

(I) Trial time: June 14, 2012 to June 13, 2013

(II) Semi-final time: April 14th to April 16th, 2012

The China Barista Contest implements a three-tier system of divisional trials, national semifinals and national finals.

1. Participants must provide true, detailed and accurate entry materials, otherwise the competition management office has the right to cancel the entry qualification of the participants;

2. Participants must obey the competition management office's arrangements and strictly abide by the competition rules and disciplines established by the competition management office; they must not take any improper actions to affect the competition process, manipulate or affect the competition results; Otherwise the contest management office has the right to cancel the contestants' qualifications and the honors and rewards the contestants have obtained.

3. The photos and videos of the contestants are the copyright of the contest management office.

4. In the event of an irresistible factor during the competition, the competition management office has the right to interrupt the competition at any time.

1. Intermediate certificate of Barista Qualification Certificate issued;

2. Awarded the "National Excellent Award" certificate of the China Barista Competition;

3. Presentation of the Wester Coffee Player Memorial Award;

(II) China Top Ten Baristas in the National Finals of China Barista Competition

1. Issue the "Certificate of Barista Practitioner" Advanced Certificate;

2. Awarded the "China Top Ten Barista" medals and certificates;

3. Wester Coffee Outstanding Player Award;

(3) One gold medal in the National Finals of China Barista Contest

1. Award the Wester Cup (the Wester Champion Cup trophy and prizes-first place);

2. Issue the "Certificate of Barista Practitioner" Advanced Certificate;

3. Issue the "Gold Award" medal and certificate of China Barista Competition;

(4) 1 silver medal in the National Finals of China Barista Contest

1. Award the Wester Cup (the Wester runner-up trophy and prizes-second place);

2. Issue the "Certificate of Barista Practitioner" Advanced Certificate;

3. Issue the "Silver Award" medal and certificate of China Barista Competition;

(V) One bronze medal in the National Finals of "China Barista Contest"

1. Award the Wester Cup and prizes (third place trophy);

2. Issue the "Certificate of Barista Practitioner" Advanced Certificate;

3. Awarded the "Bronze Award" medal and certificate of China Barista Competition;

(6) Six individual prizes in the National Finals of the "China Barista Contest"

Best Creative Award; Best Performance Award; Best Production Award; Best Technology Award; Best Group Award; Best Media Impression Award (Best Media Impression Award is elected by media reporters);

1. Issue the "Certificate of Barista Practitioner" Advanced Certificate;

2. Award the "Single Award" medal and certificate of the China Barista Competition;

The China Barista Contest is held for the first time in the Beijing Division each year, and then the sub-regional selection trials are successively held in each sub-region. The 2012-2013 China Barista Contest selects 15 cities in China and conducts 15 sub-regional competitions.
