What is the hosted ERP?
The Hosted Business Planning Program (ERP) is an Internet -based tool that uses computer technology to help companies to manage their business processes, from accounting to inventory to human resources. With the hosted ERP, the software is maintained by a third party, the ERP supplier, rather than installing on the client's computers. The client approaches the system via the Internet. With the hosted ERP clients, there will be no added costs of hiring information technology (IT) to maintain the system or cost of purchasing a computer with Mainframe to start the system. Nor does it need to pay license fees for software.
The hosted ERP offers greater flexibility than the installation of software on its own company system, so customers do not have to worry about constant softwazed scaling their business is changing. If the company wants to add additional features, it is relatively easy to buy more components. Companies also save money because they can only buy the features they need, ratherthan to invest in complex and expensive systems that are more than they need or can do. Also, it does not have to worry about replacing the system when they grow up, or once better systems are available. Instead, the ERP supplier updates the system.
Clients can often adapt the hosted ERP for more efficient viewing and use and specify what functions they want in each component. Some hosted ERP solutions can also be synchronized with e -mail programs or devices such as personal digital assistants (PDA) and mobile phones, which has made the program available anywhere. The hosted ERP allows users to manage their business processes from any computer so that they can do everything from the order of the onitor order to manage and track the work stream.
Many dealers have long offers hosted ERP services as part of larger IT outsourcing packages, but the offer of separate ERP is a newer trend. Some companies offer a free ERP hosted and others charge a monthly access fee. The monthly fee may be a flat rate or may vary depending on the number of users.
However, the free ERP version could have restrictions, such as only one person accessible at a time. Even paid versions may not be suitable for all businesses. Some providers simply offer a reduced version of their more comprehensive systems for smaller businesses and other suppliers offer solutions created specifically for small businesses.
