General self-management capabilities for general managers
World Management Master
Ability is one of the psychological characteristics of individuals. Different people have differences in their ability. The differences are generally reflected in the following aspects:

Ability to set goals

The first step to improving capacity is to figure out four issues:
  1. What are my most outstanding abilities?
  2. What are the most urgently needed capabilities for the job at hand?
  3. What are my most lacking competencies compared to the much-needed capabilities at work?
  4. How should I improve these missing capabilities?
You can list a form and answer the above questions one by one, so that you lack the ability and future direction of the effort.

Capacity planning

When developing an action plan, there are a few things to keep in mind:
(1) Reasonable, optimized and improved from the knowledge structure
There are generally three types of knowledge structure for a supervisor: professional knowledge, management knowledge, and related knowledge. Only by establishing and perfecting a scientific and reasonable knowledge structure can we effectively support and enhance your professional ability
force.
The first type is the traditional knowledge structure, that is, a structure with only a certain expertise. This is the only structure of knowledge, or linear structure. This kind of knowledge structure is far from being able to adapt to the requirements of the situation to the managers.
The second type is the "T" type of knowledge structure, or vertical and horizontal structure. "Vertical" here refers to the depth of a certain professional knowledge; "Horizontal" here refers to the span or breadth of knowledge related to a certain field. The "T" type of knowledge structure can also be called a general structure static structure. A modern manager's knowledge structure is still incomplete if it lacks a time scalar and does not reflect an index of knowledge update rate.
The third type is the "T" type of knowledge structure with the concept of time, or the dynamic structure of generalists. There are three main indicators of this type of knowledge structure: depth, breadth, and time. Only such a knowledge structure is the ideal knowledge structure for managers.
(2) Combining career and work needs to "make up for shortcomings"
Generally speaking, I do nt advocate "make up for shortcomings".
Give play to your strengths and advantages, and learn to make your strengths longer and better. But if the job right in front of you really needs this ability, then you must make up this missing "short board". For example, as a professional manager, if you have shortcomings in the professional knowledge and abilities necessary for a professional manager, then you must make up. For example, communication skills are the most basic quality requirements for managers. If you want to develop in a management position, you must complete this lesson. Otherwise, you will be incompetent and you will not have better development . If your personality and habits cannot be changed, and you really can't make up for this lesson, you should consider whether to switch career paths, such as taking the path of technological development.
(3) How to restrain yourself from actions
The mastery and accumulation of knowledge must be translated into practice and action, otherwise no amount of knowledge can only be discussed on paper. Therefore, while you are studying, you must pay attention to applying the learned knowledge, methods and tools to your own management practice. For example, if you have learned the knowledge and methods of time management, goal management, and communication management, then you must consciously develop an action plan for yourself, how to check your implementation, and how to improve your existing problems and deficiencies.
