What Is Shift Work?

Work shifts refer to the form of labor collaboration that organizes different shifts within a working day. It is the time link between division of labor and collaboration. The work shifts of enterprises can be divided into two categories: (1) single shift system, which organizes one shift of production per day; (2) multi-shift system, which implements two shifts of workers per shift or more. Generally speaking, the implementation of the single shift system is not conducive to the full use of plant and machinery and equipment. The implementation of the multi-shift system will play an important role in making full use of machinery and equipment and production area, shortening production cycles, and accelerating working capital turnover. ^[1]
