What is the alignment of the curriculum?
The Curricula Convention process is a formal evaluation of the course or the educational program for the resolution of the needs of employers and students. The curriculum is a list of educational results, skills and materials that need to be covered and completed during a particular educational program. The curriculum is developed by teachers, educational advisors and program coordinators.
Curricular alignment is achieved by a consultation process. Any proposed course must complete several reviews and be approved by a number of teachers and committees before its execution. In order to implement a new course, it must be designed, reviewed, approved and then structured to meet these requirements.
Designing a new course is a process that usually starts at the Ministry of Education for basic and secondary courses. At the postsecondary level, courses are developed by professors, sometimes based on new development and occasionally on the basis of requests Rycisted from the Provost, which is responsible for the education of the institutefat.
The Ministry of Education, of course, has the entire staff of the designers and consultants for the curriculum. They are responsible for determining the focus of the course and the appropriate level on the basis of the subject, assumption and overall educational objectives. For example, a botany course, which focuses on how seeds grows on plants, can be focused on the level of elementary school. The course designer must then determine the evaluation matrix to be used, textbooks or source materials and how this course fits into the overall curriculum or study program.
Once this information is reviewed and completed, the outline of the course or syllabus is provided to educational consultants to complete the harmony of the curriculum. During this process, the goal and outline are compared with sets of skills, educational expectations, assumptions and other courses. The purpose of this review is to ensure that all courses fit into the overall education plan, reduce duplicatesITU of the course materials and confirmed that the objectives of the course will associate with the needs of employers and the subsequent offer of courses.
In addition to the new courses, all existing courses are reviewed according to the set schedule to ensure the alignment of the curriculum. The purpose of the review is to update the course materials, review the available resources and textbooks and ensure that the course is still relevant. The process of existing courses varies in complexity based on the area and level of education. For example, the primary school course in counting usually does not change over time. However, it is necessary to update at the High School of Sociology to reflect the cultural changes that naturally occur over time.
