Blood glucose principle

Glucose is catalyzed by glucose oxidase to oxidize to produce gluconic acid and release hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen in the presence of peroxidase and chromogenic receptors, which oxidizes protons to red quinones.
