What is highly functional autism?

Highly functional autism is not clearly defined health. It is used to describe people with definitive signs of autism, but not in the usual sense. If the degrees of autism were modified on the basis of one to 10, high -functioning autism would probably be at the upper end of the scale. They may be able to engage in normal behavior in almost all areas of their lives, except for several abnormalities of behavior. For example,

Some experts think that highly functional autism is the same disorder as Asperger's syndrome. It is assumed that these two conditions are so similar that doctors are currently trying to determine whether high -function autism and Asperger syndrome are in fact the same disorder.
