What is the connection between soy isoflavones and fertility?

Soy food has been consumed for thousands of years and many studies have reported a number of health benefits associated with its income. Research has proposed a link between soy isoflavones and fertility, suggesting that the consumption of soy products such as soy milk or tofu can increase the chances of conception. Soy isoflavones present in soy foods can be able to bind to estrogen receptors on cells in the body, possibly induction ovulation and increase the chances of getting pregnant. By linking to the estrogen receptorY in the brain cells reportedly release more follicles stimulating hormone, which helps ripening follicles, estrogen release and triggering luteinizing hormone to stimulate ovulation.

When women have difficulty in conception, some doctors and dietologists recommend soy food for the content of isoflavone. It seems that soy food consumption has a greater effect in fertility increases in women, but some research suggests that it can be useful for men. These studies about soy isoflavones and fertility in men seem to have contradictory results, but still increase the possibility of helping some men to improve sperm quality.
