What Is a Project Network Diagram?

The project network diagram is a graphical representation of all the activities of the project and their logical relationships (dependencies), and represents the chronological order of the project from left to right. It can be programmed manually or implemented by computer. It can include all the details of the entire project, or one or more general activities, and should be accompanied by a concise description describing the basic ordering method, but any special ordering should be fully explained. The methods for compiling the project network diagram are usually: the leading diagram method, the arrow diagram method, and the condition diagram method. Drawing usually requires the following guidelines: (1) from left to right; (2) activities can only start after all leading activities have been completed; (3) arrow lines in the network indicate leading relationships and flow directions, and headless lines or Double-headed arrow line; (4) Each activity has a unique identification code and must be greater than the identification codes of all previous activities; (5) Loops are not allowed; (6) Conditional statements are not allowed; A start node and an end node.
