What Is a Coal Slurry?

Coal slime generally refers to semi-solids formed by the coal powder containing water. It is a product in the process of coal production. Depending on the variety and formation mechanism, its properties are very different, and its availability is also quite different. ,multiple usage.

Slime

There are roughly the following types:
Flotation of coking coal preparation plant
Before the 1980s, slime was the main fuel for ordinary people. In order to facilitate storage and use, coal slurry and honeycomb coal are generally made by mixing slime with a small amount of loess.
1. Fine particle size and large particle content , especially particles smaller than 200 mesh account for about 70% to 90%.
2. Strong water holding capacity and high water content . The water content of the slime dewatered by the disc vacuum filter is generally more than 30%; the water content of the slime dewatered by the belt filter is 26% to 29%; and the water content of the slime dewatered by the filter press is 20% to 24%.
3. High ash content and low calorific value . According to the ash content and the heating value, the slime can be divided into three types: low ash slime ash is divided into 20% to 32%, and the heat value is 12.5 to 20MJ / kg; medium ash slime ash is divided into 30% to 55%, the heat value It is 8.4 12.5MJ / kg; the high ash slime ash content is> 55%, and the calorific value is 3.5 6.3MJ / kg.
4. Large viscosity . Because slime generally contains more clay minerals, coupled with higher moisture content and fine particle size composition, most slimes are highly viscous and some have a certain fluidity. Due to these characteristics, the storage, storage, and transportation of slime are difficult. Especially during storage, its form is extremely unstable, it will be lost when it meets the water, and it will fly when it is dried. As a result, not only wasted valuable coal resources, but also caused severe environmental pollution, and sometimes even restricted the normal production of coal washing plants, which became a more difficult problem for coal preparation plants.
Because slime has many unfavorable conditions such as high moisture, high viscosity, high water holding capacity, and low heating value, it is difficult to realize industrial applications. It has been rejected by power users for a long time, and the main outlet is civilian land sales. Since the reform and opening up, the national economy has developed rapidly, coal production has leapt to the first place in the world, and the market situation has also changed a lot. The depth and breadth of coal processing are rapidly developing, and the output of coal slime has increased significantly. The comprehensive utilization of coal slime has become an urgent problem to be solved.
With the continuous development of China's industrial science and technology, the remaining slime is well used for secondary use. The slime dryer adopts the new technology of crushing and dispersing the slime first and then drying it thermally, so that the slime treatment is realized continuously, industrially, and automatically. After the slime drying process, the moisture of the slime can be reduced from 25% to 28% to about 12%. Due to the introduction of pre-crushing, dispersing, dispersing, and anti-sticking processes in the slime drying process, the drying efficiency of the slime has been greatly improved, and it has brought new vitality to the slime drying industry. The dried slime can be mainly used in the following aspects: 1. Processing slime briquette as raw material for industrial boilers or residential life; 2. As fuel for the foundry industry of power plants, increasing fuel utilization and reducing production costs Improve economic returns; 3. As a brick factory additive, improve the hardness and compressive strength of bricks; 4. As a cement factory additive, improve cement performance; 5. Coal slime containing certain specific ingredients can be used as chemical raw materials.
