How Do I Relieve Muscle Pain?

(I) Causes of Onset

Muscle pain

Tension pain is a clinical manifestation of neurasthenia. Neurasthenia is a neurosis that is predominantly debilitating brain and physical function. It is characterized by emotional excitement but fatigue, and is often accompanied by emotional symptoms such as tension, trouble, irritability, and physiological disorders such as muscle tension pain and sleep disturbance.

(I) Causes of Onset
From Beard, neurasthenia has been regarded as a holistic disease caused by many factors such as physical, physical, psychological, social and environmental factors.
1. Pavlov believes that people with advanced nervous activity types are weak and intermediate, and are susceptible to neurasthenia. Such individuals often show that they are lonely, timid, sensitive, suspicious, irritable, or easily stressed.
2. Excessive nervous system function, long-term psychological conflict and trauma cause negative emotional experience, irregular life, excessive fatigue and insufficient rest can all cause the disease. In China in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the etiology of neurasthenia has been extensively investigated, and it is believed that excessive nervous system function is one of the main causes of the disease. Li Congpei et al. (1959) and Liu Xiehe et al. (1960) survey data on neurasthenia among different occupational populations indicate that the prevalence of mental workers is highest. More than half of the patients reported that they were working or studying, which was mainly mental activity and excessive stress. Not only the mental activity is too long, the work task is too heavy; learning or work is difficult. In particular, the requirements are particularly strict. Attention requires highly concentrated mental work, which is more likely to cause excessive tension and fatigue.
3. Infection, poisoning, malnutrition, endocrine disorders, craniocerebral trauma and physical diseases can also be the cause of the disease.
4. Long-term psychological conflict and negative emotional experience caused by trauma are another more common cause of this disease. Inadequate study and work, family disputes, improper handling of marriage and love issues, and tension in interpersonal relationships have mostly caused contradictions and internal conflicts in patients' ideology, and have become the source of long-term pain. Another example is the sudden death of a loved one, major family misfortunes, life setbacks, etc. It can also cause negative emotional experiences such as sadness and pain, leading to the generation of nervous breakdown.
5. Life is chaotic, disruption of work and rest, sleep habits, and lack of adequate rest, so that tension and fatigue can not be restored, but also a prone factor for neurasthenia.
(Two) pathogenesis
1. Physiological quality and personality characteristics Pavlov believes that people with advanced neural activity types are weak and intermediate, and their personality characteristics are lonely, timid, sensitive, suspicious, and irritable, and those who are prone to stress tend to suffer from this disease. According to the Pavlovian school, the main pathophysiological basis of the disease is the weakening of the inhibition process in the cerebral cortex. When the internal inhibition process is weakened, the excitability of the nerve cells is relatively increased, and a strong and rapid response to external stimuli can be generated, thereby causing a large amount of energy consumption of the nerve cells. Clinically, these patients are often prone to excitement and fatigue. On the other hand, the function of the cerebral cortex is weakened, and its function of regulating and controlling the subcortical autonomic nervous system is also weakened, resulting in various symptoms of autonomic nervous system hyperactivity.
2. Infection, poisoning, malnutrition, endocrine disorders and other adverse effects on the nervous system, Beard envisioned the onset of neurasthenia by dephosphorization of central nervous cells.
3. People without personality defects can also develop disease under the influence of strong and persistent psychological factors. Dejerine and Gauckler (1913) believe that it is caused by psychological factors. Excessive tension, especially the unpleasant mood caused by excessive tension, is the cause of neurasthenia. Laughlin (1967) argues that neurasthenia is a state of fatigue caused by excessive psychological conflict. The psychoanalytic school believes that neurasthenia is caused by the frustration of sexual instincts, the suppression of aggression, the struggle against unconscious dependency needs, the strengthening of repression, and other unresolved infantile conflicts.
Clinical manifestations: debilitating symptoms; emotional symptoms; excitement symptoms; tension headache or limb muscle soreness, sometimes mild to severe; sleep disorders; autonomic dysfunction.
First, physical examination
Taking a medical history gives us a preliminary impression and inspiration, and also guides us to a concept of the nature of the disease.
Laboratory inspection
The laboratory examination must be summarized and analyzed based on the objective materials learned from the medical history and physical examination, from which the possibility of several diagnoses is proposed, and then further examinations to confirm the diagnosis are carried out.
Differential diagnosis
1. Extremity soreness after drinking: Excessive alcohol can stimulate various organs of the body to produce acidosis, especially the large amount of creatine and lactic acid produced in the muscles causes muscle soreness in the extremities, and muscle swelling in the whole body is very weak.
2. Muscle tenderness: Muscle tenderness is a clinical manifestation of polymyositis. Polymyositis is a group of unknown etiology. The main clinical manifestations are diffuse muscular inflammatory diseases characterized by symmetrical proximal limbs, weakness of the neck muscles, pharynx muscles, muscle tenderness, and elevated serum enzymes.
diagnosis
Clinical manifestations: debilitating symptoms; emotional symptoms; excitement symptoms; tension headache or limb muscle soreness, sometimes mild to severe; sleep disorders; autonomic dysfunction.
The causes of neurasthenia include environmental factors and intrinsic factors. Therefore, prevention should be carried out from these two aspects.
1. Know yourself correctly: Be aware of your physical fitness, intellectual ability, and social resilience. Try to avoid doing things beyond your capabilities or avoid engaging in physical and mental activities that are not suitable for you. Worrying, it's not good to try hard for fame and status.
Second, cultivate an open-minded and cheerful personality: Once your temper and personality are formed, it is difficult to change overnight. There is nothing difficult in the world, I'm afraid of those who care. As long as you are interested in developing a good character, a good character will naturally be kind to you.
3. Advocating to take the overall situation into consideration: Whenever there is a problem, we must consider the big event and distinguish between right and wrong. For example, when dealing with interpersonal relationships, promoting stricter self-discipline, lenient towards others, mutual understanding and understanding is one of the effective ways to prevent tension in interpersonal relationships. This is especially true when dealing with family, co-worker, neighbourhood, or subordinate relationships.
Fourth, good at self-regulation, there is Zhang Zhangchi: too nervous for work. People who are too busy, or have heavy study burdens and stressful lives, need to self-regulate and reasonably arrange the relationship between work, study and life, so that they can relax and integrate work and rest. This can also improve Work efficiency.
5. Seek help from medical staff: If self-regulation is not good, and some unresolved psychological problems or precursors of the disease appear, you should seek medical treatment immediately, conduct psychological counseling, psychological treatment or drug treatment. Don't taboo against illness, but there should be no illness. Get medical advice.
