What are tuna?
Tuna flakes are shavings of dehydrated, fermented and smoked tuna. Cats owners often serve fish flakes as a special delicacy or add them to cat feed. Sometimes referred to as Bonito flakes, the product can also be made from Bonito Fish, a type of ocean related to tuna. Although cats enjoy the smell and taste of fish, pets can develop health problems from a consistent diet containing tuna. Tuna flakes are part of traditional Japanese cuisine and are often used as a decoration for hot meals. Processors generally remove fins, heads and fish organs and cut the body into fillets. They are arranged in the trash and placed in boiling water for about one hour. The water temperature remains constant at 194 degrees Fahrenheit (90 degrees Celsius). After this cooking process, workers remove bones, thick by gentle fish. The fillets are exhibited by Castanopsis, Oak or Pasania Wood. After smoking for the desired time, the processors shake the surface rYB and remove dirt, tar and other residues. Fish are further dehydrated by placing the fillets directly in the sunlight. Manufacturers extract additional moisture from tuna by spraying mold spores.
Theform naturally exhausts the fish of moisture as it grows. After considerable growth, the employees of the plant shade the surface and remove the mold. Workers generally repeat this process until there is no more humidity that promotes mold growth. At this point, the fillets have a hardwood consistency. For about one fifth of its original size, tuna now contains approximately 2% humidity.
After the lay, remove the layer of the thin-tune shavings from the tuna. Manufacturers pack tuna and sell them all over the world. Domestic owners generally find flakes of tuna in special stores selling feed for pets and other products. Nutritional value of tuna includes at least 75% forTein, 3% fat and 1% fiber. Some products can also be enriched with taurine, the necessary cat nutrient.
