What is herbal infusion?

Herbal infusion is the result of soaking a large amount of plant material in boiling water. The steep process can take thirty minutes to many hours, depending on the type of plant material used. Roots, barking, leaves, seeds, berries and flowers can be made into herbal infusions.

Herbal infusions are used to introduce the medicinal properties of specific herbs and plants into the body. They can also be used to create external applications such as hair rinsing, shampoos, infusion oils, streets and other medicines. Herbs are combined with water and soaked and then the plant material is tense from the liquid. The resulting infusion is consumed or used externally. For medicinal purposes, consuming 2 - 4 cups (470 ml - 940 ml) daily is a general dose. Dried herbs are best suitable for infusions because minerals and nutrients contained in them are often easier to access. Although almost any part of the trostlina may be infusion, the time of soaking and the amount of water used will differ. Seeds, berries, flowers and leaves will have to be steep for a shorter time than roots and bark. Because they are more delicate, it takes less time to release their nutrients into the water.

flowers are also commonly used for herbal infusions. Although teas are better off, infusion can be made a stronger dose of active ingredients. For one quarter (one liter) of water is used one ounce (30 grams) dried flowers. The steep time is at leastTwo hours.

seeds and berries are the most beautiful part of the plant and require the smallest amount of infusion time. One ounce (30 grams) of dried seeds and/or berries is immersed in one pint (500 ml) of water. The minimum coating time for seed and berry infusion is 30 minutes.

The combination of herbs can be used together to perform herbal infusion, although they must have the same type. For example, different types of leaves may be infusions, but they should not be filled with berries. This is due to various times of soaking the necessary for extraction of nutrients from plant material. Too long stress will lead to bitter infusion.

Herbs with a pleasant tasting such as lemon or mint balm are sometimes filled with a bitter or otherwise unpleasant tasting of herbs. Honey, sugar or even salt can be a case for herbal infusion to improve taste. Many people hardly get used to the earth's taste and use ingredients to make them tastier.
