What is MMORPG?

MMORPG means massively multiplayer online role play, type massively multiplayer online games (MMOG). MMORPG is a computer game for playing roles (RPG), which takes place in an online virtual world with hundreds or thousands of other players. In the game, the player uses the client to connect to the server, usually operated by a game publisher who hosts the virtual world and remembers information about the player.

MMORPG, as well as any RPG, allows the user to control the character represented by the avatar, which is aimed at fighting a monster for experience, interacting with other characters, obtaining items, etc. Some MMORPGs have as much as a million subscribers. The first real MMORPG, Meridian 59 , was released in 1996, but only next year Ultima online genre popularized. Both games were played on a monthly basis as well as nmore ejmodern MMORPG. At the end of the 1990s, the genre threw itself in popularity and was looking for a particularly welcome market at Tai -Wan in South Korea and America. In 1999, Sony Online Entertainment Everquest , a popular game published to this day. At about the same time, the Asheron call was released, another MMORPG that would become extremely popular.

In 2001, the market appeared on the platform, causing cancellation of some MMORPG in development. However, the new MMORPGS continues to set out, while dozens of popular games are still sold. One of the popular points of sale is expansion packages, either downloaded from the server such as patches or sold in stores. These expansion packages ensure that the virtual worlds in MMORPG remain fresh and interesting and constantly change.

Around 2000, MMORPG began to attract the attention of academic communities-psychology and economics-and non-playing publications.Responses from praise to reluctance are common. Some critics say that such games are transforming players into inanimate zombies, while others celebrate MMORPG as a fascinating new way to communicate each other.

Some MMORPG developed sophisticated economies with equipment, currency and characters in the game that were exchanged online for real money. This has led to the study of "synthetic economies" and how they relate to the economies of the real world. As MMORPG worlds become increasingly realistic and more fun, they continue to penetrate into the mainstream and attract positive and negative reactions from all sides.
