What are the different types of project manager competences?

There may be so many different project manager competences such as project managers or at least the theorists of the project. Many project management instructors will cover three main topics: the ability to manage time, resources and expenses. These three arenas are not independent of each other, but are useful for the distinction of the respective competences that must be successful as a project manager (PM).

Time control is to consider schedule and deadlines and avoiding delay. The key competences of the project manager in time management is the development of a detailed description of the work. This is often presented as a statement of work (Sow), including the extent that limits the project and defines the end, and the WBS (WBS) structure (WBS), which outlines the project into summary tasks, tasks, sub -tasks and task details or as much as necessary. Graphic representation of WBS against time is usually developed as Gantt Chart or other format. PM is responsible for the development and approval of the gilts, scope, wb and schedule.

In order to ensure that WBS and time schedule are feasible, PM must demonstrate additional project manager competences: the ability to communicate with the department's managers without the benefits of the reporting relationship. Functional managers primarily engage in their own area and less with integration with other functions. Therefore, PM uses people's skills and in -depth understanding of the overall project, it is technical outputs and time frame and budget to draw detailed information that could otherwise endanger the schedule if they were not discovered quickly.

The substantial understanding of the project itself includes or learn all functional tasks of the department that has any project costs. It also uses useful, which may include a patent portfolio or a project patent plans that may include a patent portfolio or project patent plans. Among the functional areas from which the data could be collected,Among other things, there are quality control, product testing, control and engineering management. None of these functions actually produce, but there are many tasks that each must perform to support the project.

Sources apply to any source of energy or material that is required in the project or will help with the completion of the project. The acquisition of relevant sources is often the responsibility of the administrator of the public procurement. The buyer accepts specifications and attempts to order the materials that meet the requirements without exceeding them at the best possible costs. Purchase manager often has a long history of purchasing similar projects and is well known to the seller and markets. Using this knowledge and build new sellers, replace UTE or negotiate better prices, PM shows additional competences of the project manager.

Human resource separation (HR) can be a great resource for PM processing process hiring and helping PM and functional managers to decide on a suitable level of staff,Ideal candidates and negotiating job offers. The key competences of the project manager are the ability to convert WBS to workforce needs and finally into job descriptions. The department of human resources has links to allow functional managers of the department or PM to evaluate the needs of the project compared to the available talent fund.

Expenditure control depends on many factors, including factors outside the project management. PM demonstrates the competence of the project manager by relieving these risks by expecting to exceed, failure and change of schedule. While the exact nature of the difficulty is unknown, as well as timing, PM can significantly increase the good outcome of the project by adding permission, flexibility and savings in the project portfolio whenever they have the opportunity.

Accounting and Finance also represent the need for the project manager. PM must understand the general accounting principles how software works for project purposes and realize JAAny financial structures that may affect the satisfactory completion of the project. The creation and maintenance of the project budget is a key competences of the project manager. PM should know how to read the budget and how line items are connected to each other.
