What Is a Quality Audit?
Quality audit is a kind of quality supervision activity carried out in the enterprise system. It refers to the requirements of products, processes and systems in order to meet user requirements. Through independent, fair and systematic assessment, the quality of delivered products is judged and evaluated. Process adaptability and effectiveness of the assessment system, in order to expose problems in a timely manner, improve work, and enhance the quality assurance system's own assurance capabilities within the company's internal supervision activities. It is called "quality diagnosis" in Japan.
Quality audit
- A successful quality audit should have the following characteristics:
- 1. The quality audit is a systematic, independent and planned inspection, verification and evaluation activity carried out from the customer's standpoint, in accordance with certain standards and requirements;
- 2. It can be carried out by the enterprise itself or by people and organizations outside the enterprise as required, but no matter what form it takes, there must be an independent "third party" direct participation
- 3. Intervals for quality audits are generally specified in advance; sometimes audits are not performed at prescribed times;
- 4. Quality audit reports and documents should be expressed quantitatively in digital form as far as possible, or written in summary with qualitative and quantitative data to indicate the trend of quality improvement or change
- Quality audits are classified according to the audited objects and can be divided into the following 3 types:
