What is a group development?

The development of the group is the process of forming a group and then cooperates to achieve the goal. The process usually includes four different steps, added later: formation, turret, standardization, implementation and increment. The process was first described by Bruce Tuckman, an educational psychologist who first came up with a process at the age of 60. Since then, these phases of group development, sometimes known as team construction or team development, have become a generally accepted formula of group behavior.

The first phase of the group development is known as formation. During this initial phase, the basic group is formed and the members get to know each other. Although there are already existing relationships, this phase is still important because they give these individuals a chance to explore a new aspect of the relationship and also communicate with others. This phase can pass relatively quickly.

After the formation has occurred, the next time is to attack. During at this stage may be fighting for group management and procedures, and many different people have the ideas of being thatIt should be. Although the name may indicate a major conflict, depending on the composition of the group, the process may remain relatively civic. The development of groups during this time can be a priority before production.

In the stage of norming, things start to settle a little. The leader, or at least the style of leadership, is selected, and the group begins to cross the early stages to a mature stage. At this point, the members determine the final rules and priorities of the group. During this time, there may be some work on the overall goal, but it is still time to find out what will take place from an administrative point of view.

representing the group development phase is the time when most of the work takes place. I use the WW Group processes and procedures intended in the norming phase to work on the overall goal. This is the phase where the group is the most productive and will be the greatest progress to its goal. Although conflicts may occur from time to time, there should be those that should be harmonized by the rules,to which group agreed. Otherwise, the dysfunction could result in.

The final phase of the group development process is known as adsourcing. At this point, the group may have completed their mission or at least decided that the mission could not be obtained. This is the last phase in front of the group dissolved and it is mainly the social phase where the group can connect and remember the task and process.
