What Does a Casualty Adjuster Do?
A shunter is someone who pins and leads a train. After the train enters the station, the carriages are separated from the locomotive, and the locomotive goes to the maintenance section for maintenance. The passenger carriages need to be inspected and cleaned at the passenger station. The freight carriages are adjusted according to the sending station, arrival station, and marshalling plan. The shunter is one of the railway employees who is responsible for re-decomposing and marshalling the carriages and heads at the departure and end of the station to ensure the smooth departure and dissolution of the train.
