What are the lumbar pillows?
lumbar pillows are one kind of orthopedic pillow that has a therapeutic value when used consistently. The lumbar pillow supports and protects the lumbar area of the spine, more often called the lower back. It is a good tool to alleviate lower back pain.
Because the lumbar area has a clear curve, sitting for a long time can cause noticeable voltage. Fatigue and back pain are common results. Pain and insensitivity in the legs may also be due to lumbar tension.
Most chairs do not provide sufficient support for the lower back and some do not provide any support at all. The lumbar pillows are placed in a small back between the chair and the back and support the natural curve of the spine. Anyone who has to sit for a long time is likely to benefit from this support. Workers, drivers and travelers will be particularly likely to benefit from using lumbar pillows.
The most basic lumbar pillows are simple rectangles, usually about twelve inches by fiveinches (30,48 x 12,7 cm). They usually have about two inches (5 cm) thick. Purchase is always a dense material that will not be compact easily. Most lumbar cushions have removable washable covers. Some have an elastic group that holds them in place.
There are other popular shapes for lumbar pillows. A full pillow is actually a cylinder. This shape of the pillow must usually be held in a place with an elastic belt. The pillow in the middle of the roll has a flat side, which is placed against the chair and a round side that supports the back of the sitter. Some lumbar pillows are wider and rounder and thinner and more flattering at the top. All these shapes provide support for the lower back and users generally have their personal favorite.
thick foam, strong enough to provide support, but not hard enough to cause discomfort, is the most common filling of lumbar cushions. Some are full of memory whoIt "remembers" the user outlines. The grains are also used to fill the lumbar cushions and buckwheat are popular.
Some lumbar support pillows have fillings that can provide additional benefits. For this reason, magnets are often included in lumbar pillows. Pillows filled with rice can be heated in a microwave or cooled in the refrigerator to ensure warm and cold therapy.
Like other orthopedic pillows, lumbar pillows usually do not provide immediate relief. A test period of about a week is required before evaluating the results.
