What are the scales of differential abilities?
The
Differential abilities scale is a "battery" or a number of tests that are individually administered for children to assess their cognitive skills and achievements, depending on the normal stages of development according to age groups. In general, it includes 20 subtests categorized as cognitive, diagnostic and success tests. The differences of differential abilities are flexible enough to satisfy not only "average" students, but also those who are extremely clear, or those who are "less capable". Differential capabilities have three levels, the first is a lower level of preschool schools that children take at the age of 2 years, 6 months to 3 years, 5 months. The second level is the upper preschool school, given those from 3 years, 6 months under 5 years, 11 months. On the other hand, the level of school age is provided to students from 6 to 17 years at the age of 11 months.
2 Many Recalling Exercises such as Downloads of Numerals andObjects are located under diagnostic subtests. In subset of success, the child is to perform spelling, readers and computing exercises whose items are arranged in increasing difficulty. The number of subtests included in the specific scale of differential capabilities will often depend on the level; For example, only four cognitive and two diagnostic subtestv are included.directions of differential abilities try to interpret the results of tests in a holistic way. In principle, the cognitive category determines the intellectual capacity of the child, presented in the score of the general conceptual ability (GAC). Meanwhile, the strengths and weaknesses are measured by diagnostic subtests. The results of each subtest together with the child's behavior throughout the test process are also evaluated. In this way, guards and teachers can plan appropriate intervention methods to develop the intelligence and abilities of the child.
