What are the risks of ptomain poisoning?

Ptomain poisoning is an outdated term for food poisoning. It results from the concept that ptomaine, small broken proteins in food, were culprits for people's food. Now we know that ptomain poisoning is actually food poisoning that has been infected with several types of bacteria. Food omitted, such as chicken salad, can easily develop bacteria.
