What causes morning stiffness?
Morning stiffness is usually the result of joint inflammation and connective tissue such as tendons and muscles. Some chronic diseases such as arthritis have a connection with morning stiffness and may also develop in conjunction with physical activity or temporary injury. Getting up and moving should help disperse stiffness. If it is so serious that the patient remains in bed or takes hours to move fully in the morning, the patient should discuss the situation with a doctor because there may be a more serious basic problem. The most likely hypothesis is that when patients sleep and are therefore not very active, lymphatic leakage from their blood vessels, especially around inflamed areas where tissue is already swollen. Excess fluid causes tissue to increase more, making it difficult until the patient wakes up and begins to gently move the, limb, restore circulation and allow to distract extra liquid. Can wax and decrease. Patients may notice greater stiffness in damp weather, in the cold of the year or aftertoo hard exercise. Patients about drugs who respond well to their drugs usually have less stiffness and sudden tip may indicate that drugs do not work as effectively.
As people get older, morning stiffness is becoming increasingly common, even in active older adults. The connective tissue in the body tends to be weaker over time, which also plays a role in limited mobility. Exercise adapted to older adults to help build and maintain muscle strength can be useful. It may also be advisable to have a heater to warm up the room early in the morning.
There are some techniques that people can use to manage morning stiffness. Fine exercise can promote healthier circulation and can help patients avoid stiffness in the morning. It is also useful to obtain appropriate nutrition. Some patients may consider it useful to use heating cushions on their beds and morning can be useful to apply heat to make joints and muscles before VVby eating. The doctor may be able to recommend some sections that patients can use when they are stiff in the morning.
