What Is a Normal Pulse Rate for Women?

Count the pulse. Under normal circumstances, the pulse rate and the heart rate are consistent. Heart rate is the most intuitive indicator of exercise intensity. For normal people, the pulse rate can be used to determine whether the heart rate is within the healthy normal range.

Count pulse

The pulse of an adult is 60-80 beats per minute in a quiet state. Bradycardia is less than 60 times per minute. Athletes' heart health is strong, sometimes below 60. An adult's pulse is more than 100 times a tachycardia.
Pulses may temporarily increase during physical activity or emotional agitation. Pulses also increase during fever. Generally, pulses increase by 10-20 times for every 1 ° C increase in body temperature. The exception is typhoid patients. Although the fever is high, the pulse does not speed up, which is called relatively slow pulse. Patients with anemia, severe pain, and hyperthyroidism, although not having a fever, have a fast pulse.
Before counting pulses, let the patient rest for a while to avoid activity and excessive excitement, which affects the accuracy of the pulse. When counting pulses, not only measure the number of times per minute, but also pay attention to the rhythm, elasticity and strength of the pulse. The pulse of a normal person is strong and flexible, and it is easy to feel on the flexural artery that beats on the outside of the palm of the wrist. If the patient has major bleeding or is seriously ill, the pulse will be weak or even undetectable. Some diseases, such as high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, have a strong and hard pulse and are not elastic.
The rhythm of normal people's pulse is regular. If it is slow or slow, or sometimes absent, this is called arrhythmia. If this phenomenon often occurs, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
Pulse age change:
One year old: 120-140; 2-4 years old: 100-120; 5-10 years old: 90-100; 11-14 years old: 80-90; adults: 70-80.
There are also gender differences between men and women. In general, women are slightly faster than men.
