What is EEG sleep?
Sleep Electroencefalog (EEG) is used to study sleep formulas. With the exception of pain, sleep problems are considered to be the second most common symptom of the disease, and EEG sleep is usually used to determine whether the patient passes through all five levels of sleep. The EEG detects and measures brain activity that shows different formulas at different levels of sleep.
The human brain consists of cells that must be able to transmit information. They do this with weak electrical pulses that EEG is able to detect and evaluate. When a person passes through the sleep EEG, small electrodes are connected to its scalp. Electrodes transmit the activity of electrical pulses to the EEG machine, which then represents information, usually in the form of a graph.
Sleep cycles are usually characterized by rapid eye movement (REM) and non-Rem, which usually corresponds to EEG activity. Sleep in phase 1 is a non-Rem cycle that usually lasts only for shorts while sometimes known as DOZ. During sleep in phase 1 withPeople usually awaken. The electrical activity of the brain at this stage is usually relatively low. Sleep in phase 2 includes about 45% of the total time spent in sleep without REM. Most sleep studies show that the movement of the eyes during this level of sleep significantly reduced.
Sleep at phase 3 is usually an introduction to deep sleep. During this period, sleeping EEG usually changes to show the activity of the brain wave with very large waves, sometimes interrupted by small spikes, which are referred to as "delta" waves. During this level of sleep, it is often more difficult to bring the sleepers to vigilance.
at a time when one finally reaches sleep in phase 4. Phase, normally sleeps very deeply. The sleepers have awakened the plunging of this level can take several minutes to orientate to its surroundings. They will usually be quite appalling and confused. During this level, EEG sleep shows mainly the delta waves.
Sleep level 5 occurs when sleeping finally dIt depends on the sleep that produces REM, and dreams usually take place during this level. Sleepers sometimes show changes in breathing, blood pressure and heart rate. During this level of Sleep EEG often shows a large range of wave patterns. Most doctors believe that overall health can be associated with the time that the individual spends at level 5.
