Astrovirus
- Astrovirus is a virus that infects mammals and birds.
- Human astrovirus was isolated from diarrhea infant feces in 1975. It is spherical with a diameter of 28-35 nm, without capsules. The surface structure under an electron microscope is star-shaped, with 5 to 6 corners. The nucleic acid is a single positive-stranded RNA, 7.0 kb, with non-coding regions at both ends, and three overlapping open reading frames in the middle [1]
- The virus has a worldwide distribution and fecal-oral transmission. It is one of the important pathogens that cause acute viral enteritis in infants and young children, the elderly and immunocompromised people. Its pathogenicity has received increasing attention. The main symptoms of human infection with adenovirus are Severe diarrhea with fever, nausea, and vomiting. The disease is a self-healing disease. Most patients will gradually reduce their symptoms when they have symptoms for 2-3 days, but there are also a few symptoms that worsen and cause dehydration. [2]

- The currently used vaccines are only used to prevent chicken astrovirus disease and are inactivated vaccines. A vaccine for human astrovirus disease has not yet been developed. But strengthening exercise is good for fighting this type of disease.
