What Is Ankle Instability?

Ankle instability refers to the phenomenon that the ankle joint is unstable and the ankle joint is frequently sprained after the ankle joint is damaged. It is a problem that is more easily left after an ankle sprain. Patients often form a vicious cycle of sprains-instability-again. Repeated sprains of the ankle joint due to instability can cause damage to articular cartilage, and severe cases can form traumatic arthritis, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients.
