What Is Hypophosphatasia?
The causes of hypophosphatemia are as follows.
1. Reduced phosphorus intake or malabsorption is seen in fasting or starvation (which can lead to depletion of phosphorus in the body, which can cause secondary hypophosphatemia after refeeding, especially when intravenous glucose is administered), diarrhea, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 deficiency, malabsorption syndrome, use of antacids combined with phosphoric acid (aluminum hydroxide gel, aluminum carbonate, magnesium hydroxide), etc.
2. Excessive kidney phosphorus is seen in acute alcoholism, primary or secondary hyperparathyroidism, tubular acidosis, vitamin D-resistant rickets, metabolic acidosis, diabetes, etc., and the use of glucocorticoids and diuretics medicine.
3 Phosphorus transfer into cells is seen in respiratory or metabolic alkalosis, and the use of insulin and androgens that promote anabolic metabolism.
