What is Lamaze Breathing?

breathing is a number of respiratory exercises that are part of the lamaz method developed in 1951 by Dr. Ferdinand Lamaze, a French obstetrician, to provide a natural way to manage pain and stress from childbirth. The lamaze method consists of classes of education, relaxation techniques, active participation of the father as a "coach" in the process of birth and specific respiratory techniques. Lamaze breathing is an integral part of the lamaze method. After determining the baseline or normal respiratory pattern, four types of respiratory patterns are involved in the breathing of the lamaz: cleaning, slow, blowing and patterned breathing. It is a soothing breath that is used at the beginning and at the end of the uterine contractions. The breath is carried out by breathing as possible and as the deepest nose and exhaling at the same speed by mouth.

After cleansing, the next step in lamaze breathing is usually a slow breath. Slow breathing breathes, which inhales to the number of three, four or five and exhales the same number. Slow breathing is also used as calmBreath, but with a greater focus.

Blowing Breath describes a soft, shallow breath that is used after relaxation to extend relaxation. How soft is this breath can be proven when a person holds a piece of paper a few inches from the mouth and breathes. The paper should gently shake after exhalation. This is the breathing of lamina made between contractions.

Breathing Lamaze used during contractions is a patterned breath. The patterned breath consists of a soft inhalation with two to four rapid exhalation. For example, in a four -member exhalation, the sound of "hee, hee, hee" with rapid inhalation would be made before the "Hoo" exhalation ends. The patternsuerieath is used for the duration of the contraction.

These respiratory patterns learn and strengthen the method in each class. Techniques are not difficult, but practice is important to this process. After practicing these respiratory techniques for nine months of pregnancy, they become almost the second nature of the mother and fatherwho will train and guide breathing during birth.

Lamaze breathing technique has been developed for birth experience, but anyone can use it as an effective relaxation technique. The breath may not be done in any specific order. They can be used in any number of combinations to suit individual goals of relaxation.
