What Is Raja Yoga Meditation?
King Yoga (Raja Yoga) means a yoga practice with a high status like a king. Wang Yoga values meditation and breath control. It is the mainstream way for Hindu practitioners in India to reach the spiritual world. King Yoga belongs to the main schools of several major yoga genres (Wang Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Yoga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, etc.), and it is also the earliest existing and born school, mainly in its practice. The practitioner of King Yoga is called Vaisnava (simply understood like the meaning of the word monk).
King Yoga
- The practice of Wang Yoga consists of eight branches, which can also be regarded as eight stages, namely:
- One Prohibition Yama
- Also called foreign system. When you choose to practice King Yoga, enter a Hindu temple, or choose a following mentor, the mentor will give the commandments. The constraints imposed by Guru (meaning of the teacher) have been fixed here for five thousand years during the transmission of King Yoga masters and apprentices, namely: no killing, no delusion, no stealing, no prostitution, no greedy.
- Nizuki Line Niyama
- Control your own behavior and control yourself, and follow the practice of Guru better. Observe purity, contentment, asceticism, study and recite Veda, and worship the gods.
- Three-Pose Asnan
- This is also the entry point of the mainstream Hada genre. In the distant ancient Indian yogis and Hindu sages, it is believed that love to the gods must also love their bodies and souls. Keeping your body clean is the most basic cleanliness, and this kind of exercise will make your body healthier and cleaner, and more qualified to approach and serve God.
- Quadratic Pranayama
- Yoga sages believe that only by controlling your breathing can you better control your thoughts and life. So there is such a link to practice advanced breathing method alone.
- Five senses Pratyahara
- Controlling your senses, the first four steps are seemingly simple, and here it is difficult to move forward. How to make your senses introvert and observe your mind, breath, and body more clearly. A deeper level is to close your senses directly when you are proficient in your practice.
- Six Focus Dharana
- Focus on your own inner world, focus on the imagination of God, focus on thinking about life.
- Seven Meditations Dhyana
- This does not mean rest to do meditation, but refers to meditation that can be done at will, such as meditation in the realm. Of course, the true traditional meditation is not to focus on situational meditation as it is now, but to meditate on the gods that you believe.
- Eighty-three Mody Samadhi
- The combination of the individual spiritual soul and God, the supreme joy, the stay and migration of the soul in another world. These are the traditional descriptions of Samadhi. Samadhi is what we often call Buddhism. Science also conducted research on Samadhi, and it was concluded that when entering a controllable vegetative person, personal time and thinking stopped completely, and metabolism decreased.
