What is transfemale syndrome?
- Superfemale is a disease of abnormal sex chromosomes.
- Patients have three or more X chromosomes in their nucleus (two in normal women). The patient's appearance is female, with normal menstruation and reproductive function, except for affecting intelligence, there may be no other abnormalities.
- Super female syndrome is also called super x syndrome. The normal women's karyotype is 46, XX, while the majority of patients with this syndrome have a karyotype of 47, XXX, and a few divisions have 48, xxxX, 49, XXxXX; there are also some people who chimeric with normal cytotype or 45, xO . Mothers born to these children are often older, but the parents' chromosomes do not necessarily show abnormal changes.
- Most patients generally develop normally, but have low intelligence, and the more the X chromosome number, the more severe the mental retardation. The external genitalia is the same as that of normal women, with hypogonadism, but normal follicles may be present in most ovaries, and some have small uterus. About 20% have amenorrhea or irregular menstruation after puberty, and some people experience premature menstruation. Only a few people have fertility, and most people have low or no fertility.
