What is a pastor shaft?
The pinion shaft is the main member of the drive of most train sets. The shaft transmits the input of the drive shaft or the handle to the rest of the gears to create a job for which the transmission train is designed. The pinion shaft can transfer this movement of the driving movement to the linear gear set or to the gearbox set at right angles, such as the vehicle differential. The shafts of the pinion and their associated powered gears are usually one -piece assembly machined from a single piece of steel.
