What is the engine pulley?

The engine key is a wheel mounted on the engine of a car or other vehicle that leads or controls a belt, sometimes known as a serpentine belt. This belt is part of the system that drives a peripheral device in the engine compartment, such as air conditioning, power steering and vehicle fan. The engine pulley is also often used in conjunction with the distribution belt - the serpentine belt replaces the distribution strip in many vehicles - which helps the timing of the opening and closing of the engine valves.

The serpentine belt system in the vehicle will contain several pulleys that have different functions. One engine pulley can be responsible for powering the air conditioning unit, while the timing of the engine can be responsible for another pulley or set of pulleys. Some types of pulleys, often known as tension pulleys, simply maintain tension on the belt and help to properly guide the belt through the serpentine system. Idler Pulleys are generally not connected by SY peripheral device and can be modified in several directions to adjust the voltage to HADSa tie. The voltage setting must be made carefully to avoid breaking, as well as released strips that can dismount the pulleys.

It is quite common to see the engine pulley that is irritating around its perimeter. The purpose of this groove is to help secure the belt on the spot when it revolves around the pulley. The belt itself will be designed to work with the grooved pulley and create a system that reduces slip or removal of the belt. A well -tense belt, which is properly browsing through the pulleys, will not slip at all and will not require regular tension, because the belt is designed to withstand stretching.

Another type of engine pulley is a harmonious balanmer that is connected to the crankshaft. This pulley is designed to help reduce the vibrations caused by the interaction of the intermediate and reaction to the crankshaft to this combustion. Without a harmonious equator, the crankshaft can experience the voltage above the rameC its means caused by vibration of combustion, resulting in damage to the crankshaft and possible complete failure.

6 It must also be designed to work with specific belts to prevent excessive or premature wear of the belt systems.
