What is the tool coat function?

The

tack coat is essentially a type of industrial adhesive, which is used in the construction of the road to connect layers of asphalt on the roads. It is an emulsion that is a liquid-tape mixture of asphalt binder, water and emulsification chemicals that act to combine ingredients together in colloidal suspension. This asphalt emulsion is applied in a thin layer between layers of asphalt with a hot mixture (HMA) as a road surface and serves to create an adhesive link between them. The end coat must cover 90% of the road surface or more to prevent slipping, and if there is incomplete coverage, the road will be more susceptible to long -term degradation effects such as the formation of alligator cracking, running and potholes.

The main component in the coast is a bituminous liquid, which is a liquefied hydrocarbon version of the solid asphalt surface itself. Emulsion can also contact water dilution thatIt is common in some US product applications and is used to provide more uniform application above the road surface. In European countries, a faster type of tilting is used, which does not require evaporation of water from the emulsion, but still has a low viscosity or thickness. In some cases, a tongue coat is also used, which contains a liquid polymer base, which serves as a latex binder. These variations create coating materials that can range from slow to fast and low to high viscosity depending on the needs of the road surface and local climate.

The thickness of the tilt layer used and the volume of the material needed to perform an adequate task has been accurately quantified since 2001 based on the type of road surface. When the road surface is a new HMA construction, 0.03 to 0.04 gallons per square yard (0.14 to 0.18 liters per square meter) are required. These levels rise slightly if the surface isCH oxidized HMA and almost doubled for the ground HMA at 0.06 to 0.08 gallons/yd 2

(0.27 to 0.36 liters/m

2 ).

Tacker Coat is also used to seal prefabricated concrete layers (PCC). Where layers of milled PCC require the same amount of zvoho coat as milled HMA, normal PCC requires the same amount of material as oxidized HMA. The amount of main coat also increases significantly if it is diluted in advance with water to help with a thorough spread over the road surface, with the volume of the material used three to four times higher than the usual asphalt volume.

Some cases of liquid asphalt also require the use of an initial coat that can reduce dust on the surface. If the road surface does not clean the dust when applying the coat, it binds to the dust instead of the upper and lower layers of the asphalt, leading to the failure of its adhesiveness known as delamination. In some countries, instead of a real tilt,This is a mixture of asphalt, which has been dissolved in hydrocarbon, which acts as solvent as petrolemen, is applied in some countries instead of the actual tilt that connects them.
