What Is the Paper Industry?

Papermaking technology is divided into two types: mechanical and manual. The mechanism is carried out continuously on a paper machine. The pulp suitable for paper quality is diluted with water to a certain concentration, and is initially dehydrated in the net of the paper machine to form a wet paper sheet, which is then dewatered by pressing and then dried into paper. Manually, a frame with bamboo curtain, polyester mesh or copper mesh is used to copy the fibers suspended in water into wet paper sheets, which are dewatered by pressing, and then dried or dried to form paper.

Paper industry

The original paper appeared as a new type of writing memo. Before paper was invented, most of China's record matters depended on tortoise shells,
Regarding the origin of papermaking, in the past most of the five-century AD historian Fan Bo (398-445) said in the "Han Han · Cai Lun Biography" that paper was the eunuch Cai Lun of the Eastern Han Dynasty (62-121) Yu Hanhe Emperor Yongyong was invented in the seventeenth year (105 AD). But archeological excavations since this century have shaken Cai Lun's claim that paper was invented. The 1st century BC was unearthed from the Hanyu site in Luobu'er, Xinjiang in 1933.
But early Western Han hemp paper still needs further improvement. In the second century, Cai Lun, who served as Shangfang Ling in the court of the Eastern Han Dynasty, supervised and organized the production of a batch of good paper with sufficient manpower and material resources, and dedicated it to the court in the 17th year of Yongyuan. From then on, papermaking was promoted in China. At the same time, the Eastern Han Dynasty also used tree bark, especially grid paper, to expand the source of raw materials. In this sense, Cai Lun appeared in history as a producer and promoter of good paper. These activities are objectively beneficial to the development of papermaking, so his role should not be completely obliterated.
