What is the clove?

Clove Tea is a cooked clove herbal tea, which is assumed to have beneficial healing properties. Most of the benefits derived from drinking tea are caused by the presence of an organic compound found in cloves and other aromatic herbs and a spice called eugenol. Tea can be used to treat various small digestive complaints such as diarrhea and flatulence. It also has antiseptic, antifungal and analgesic properties. Game tea can also be applied locally in the form of a hand cleaning agent or compression, or internally taken as a douche or enema. The name of the spice comes from the Latin word for the "Clavus" nail, because the shape of the dried clove bud is somewhat similar to the nail. The clove is primarily harvested in its native Indonesia, as in Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. Both whole ground versions of the spices are quite pungent in taste and aroma, but grinding clove makes their taste even stronger. Hlusy tea is boiled to pour boiling water over the entire clove or ground hŘebíček in a tea bag and allowing the liquid briefly steep. The longer the tea is steep, the stunning the clove flavor. Milk, honey or other sweeteners can be added to the tea.

One of the active compounds in clove-like tea is yellowish aromatic oil called eugenol, which consists of 72-90% clove oil and gives the clove their characteristic spicy aroma. Eugenol is located in essential oils of many other spices and herbs, including cinnamon, nutmeg, basil and bay leaves. The oil is an antiseptic and an antifungal, and therefore the clove tea is sometimes used to disinfect the hands or as an antifungal that women suffer from vaginal yeasts. It is also analgesic that soothes stomach pain and digestive problems in orally and reduces muscle injury pain when applied as a cold comprison. Although many health benefits are associated with eugenol, in sufficient quantities isToxic oil, with possible side effects of ingestion including liver damage, blood in the urine, diarrhea, nausea and dizziness.

other active compounds in the clove are methyl salicylate and tannin. Methyl salicylate, also known as Wintergreen oil, has warming properties that led to its use as a rubefacient and painkillers. Tannins are naturally occurring plant chemicals that have astringent and anti -inflammatory properties. These properties contribute to the efficiency of clove tea as antiseptics and digestive aids.
