What Is Reperfusion Therapy?
Reperfusion therapy is to reopen the completely occluded blood vessels through thrombolytic drugs, interventional therapy or surgical treatment, and to obtain reperfusion of ischemic tissue is an important method of interventional therapy. Although some patients may reperfusion spontaneously, most patients have persistent thromboembolism. Reperfusion therapy is the most effective way to restore blood and oxygen supply to ischemic tissue. The degree of recovery is related to the time to achieve reperfusion after occlusion occurs.
