What is Tan Tien?

Tan Tien is a term used to designate a number of different things related to Chinese philosophy and holistic medicinal practices. In general, it applies to various points in the human body that focuses on inner strength, similar to the chakras of Hindu meditative practices. Various tanned Tiens inside a person are important for meditation, martial arts and healing exercises including deep breathing and focusing on bringing the body and tanning into the agreement. Tan Tien can refer to the whole system of thinking or specific points in this system. While different systems can recognize a different number of points, there are usually at least three places in the person. There are five points in some systems: the upper point at the top of the head, the upper point in the middle of the forehead with the middle point just below the navel, the lower point found below it and the bottom point found at the feet of the legs. Tan Tien systems with only three points usually indicate the upper point behind the center of the forehead, the center point in the heart and the bottom point just below the navel.

In any Tan Tien system is a medium or lower point, depending on which one is placed under the navel, often considered the most important or at least one of the most important. This tan point is often considered to be about 1.5 inches (about 3.1 cm) or three widths of the finger, under the navel inside the human. The middle or lower point roughly corresponds to the navel or solar chakra plexus considered to be of great importance for practicing yoga and other tantric practices.

Medium or Lower Tan, often referred to as hara or belly, is considered the center of gravity for the person and the focus of his energy. In martial arts, they often learn that the energy and strength of man come from this point and the student learns to concentrate and relax this energy. There are also meditative and medicinal practices that include deep breathing with a focus on haru and breathing by diaphragm. It is assumed that this point tanned Tien produces a large amount of heat and energy when it isProperly focused, and it is assumed that the release of this energy helps to recover the person of illness and allow combat artists to break bricks or plates with their bare hands.
