Are French fries dangerous to my health?
French fries may be tasty, but doctors have long warned against their consumption too often because of their hefty doses of sodium and saturated fats. For dieters, there have been a long forbidden thing. There may now be even more reasons, given the 2005 report to choose a healthier alternative to the fries. Those nurses ate each week were 27% more likely to develop breast cancer as adults.
While the study is not all-inclusive because it has only studied one population, it leads to the conclusion that French fries can pose other risks to develop one of the most difficult and life changes. In response, many fast food companies began to offer alternatives such as fruit or vegetable portions.
This study did not indicate all "forbidden meals" represents the same potential risk. It was found that women eating hot dogs or ice cream were found no further risk of developing breast cancer.
A similar study conducted in Sweden in 2002 indicated that heating of certain starch foods such as potatoes or breads tends to produce a chemical called acrylamide, which is considered to be a substance causing cancer. The fries and potato chips were particularly high in this substance, giving a potential link between fries and cancer. A study that included random samples was not wide enough to ensure the removal of these products from the market.
In addition, the chemical seemed to be present, whether the potato was roasted or fried. This suggests that people can still be at increased risk if they choose chips or baked potatoes on a portion of French fries.
In 2006, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, concluded that both potatoes and French fries lead to an increased risk of developing type II diabetes. RiskIt was higher in women who were already obese.
6 Other studies, however, have shown that starch foods such as baked potatoes have some health benefits. In all cases, it would seem that eating a variety of diet, with several repetitions of potentially harmful foods, is the most important.
