What are the Fitness Army standards?

Fitness army standards are a set of physical fitness standards designated by the United States army that all soldiers must meet and maintain in active service. In order to determine the level of perseverance and cardiovascular fitness soldier, the US Army is a test of the physical condition of the army (APFT) at least twice a year and all soldiers are needed to participate. Members of the National Guard take APFT each year instead of two per year.

If the investigator fails in all or part of APFT, he gets three months to meet the current fitness army standards by passing the exam and the possibility of promotion, extension and re -inclusion. The APFT administration is outlined in the army field manuals in addition to personal and unit physical exercises and an alternative test is given to those who have physical conditions that prevent them from participating in the standard APFT.

Army fitness standards are determined by the age of the soldier and gender, as described in detail in the APFT scores. APFT consists of three fitnessChallenge: 2 miles running and two minutes of each of the sit-ups and push-ups. Before starting, the Fitness Army standards for each event are aloud and the right form of each exercise is then proven by a soldier who is not taking a test or a comparator. The examiners have two minutes to complete as many sit-ups as possible, followed by another two minutes for push-ups. During the timed 2 mile run, walking is reflected and the soldier is disqualified if he receives any physical assistance or leaves the designated course.

It is expected that the minimum number of sit-ups and push-ups that the soldier completes in every two-minute event is determined by the sex and age of the examiner. For example, a man aged 17 to 21 should make at least 42 clicks and a minimumz 53 sit-ups in two minutes. A woman over 62 years of age must complete at least seven clicks and 26 sit-ups. Acceptable time ranges for 2 mile run also differ according to age and gender. A woman of soldiers who are 32 to 36 years old must run 2 miles in less than 22 minutes, while a male soldier of the same age MusEnd in less than 18 minutes.

Every APFT event is rated out of 100 points and the total passage is 180 or more or at least 60 points in each category. The minimum score is slightly lower for new recruits during the initial entrance training. Soldiers who get at least 90 points in each of the three events APFT will gain a training uniform badge of physical fitness. By examining APFT, they also earn promotional points that contribute to their capacity to promote. Army fitness standards help ensure that soldiers are physically able to fight and other duties.
