What is the other type of lens?

There are several different types of lens beans. The primary difference between the lens is the color and size of the bean. Some lens beans retain their shape while cooking, while other types disintegrate slightly. Different types of lens include PUY lentils, green or brown lens and red lens. The lens, which is divided in half, is usually known as Dal in Indian cuisine.

The brown lens are very common in food stores in the United States. They are all beans and have a smooth, round shape. These lens beans are usually at least expensive. When they are cooked, they can become very soft and mashed. As the beans so much soften, they are ideal for use in soups and steamed small ones.

Unlike brown lenses, red lenses are divided in half. Although the beans are light red after drying, they yellow when cooking. Red lentils are considerably crumbling, so they are suitable for use in cleaning soups or used to prepare DAL.

The most expensive tYpčočka is a French lens, also known as Puy lens, because it was originally grown in France Le Puy, an area with thin volcanic soil. French chok beans have a higher protein content than other types. They keep their shape when cooking, so they are ideal for use in salads and other dishes where the shape of the beans is important for the presentation. Puy lens is green with black stripes or dots on their surface.

Less common lens types include gold and black lentils. White lentils are simply a black lens that is peeled. Usually black, white and golden lens are sold as DAL or divided beans.

Beluga lens is another less common type of bean. Beans are so -called because they are reminiscent of Beluga caviar. They work well in salads or soups because they keep their shape. If the chef cannot find the Beluga lens, it can replace the lens.

Given that the lensThey are small, may not be soaked before cooking. The divided lens takes much less cooking time than the whole brown or Puy lens. The person cooks the lens by covering them with water and bringing water to a boil. The lens is ready when they are soft.

All lens types should be stored in a cool and dry place. The lens has a long life, usually up to a year. Beans that have been stored for more than a year may still be edible, but cooking can take much longer because they have dried more.
