What are the different types of special education for autism?
In some countries, including the United States, children with autism are eligible for free special educational services. These services are adapted to a specific child in an individualized educational program (IEP). Special education for autism includes applied behavior analysis (ABA) and treatment and education of disabled children with autistic and communication (Teacch) and can be provided in combination with regular class or separate class teaching. The basis of this support is IEP, which outlines the specific needs of the child, educational objectives for the school year, how these goals will be met and how progress will be evaluated. Some complain that this approach corresponds to autistic behavior rather than trying to act.
Special education for autism will not stop and starts in the public school system.
