What is the brasserie?

Brasserie is a French term for the brewery, but in fact the French and the rest of the world use the term brasserie to describe semi-late informal restaurants that remain open late, do not require reservations and can be open for several meals a day. The food is usually simple and you can enjoy it with beer, wine or any number of drinks. Brasserie will usually have special or two every day, which are usually French dishes, but the primary offer is a classic like steak and seafood.

Brasseries are much larger than Bistros. The bistro tends to be an occasional restaurant with several appetizers. Brasserie offers a larger Entrée selection. Little bistros can have great food and some are operated by world -class chefs to show their meals in small and intimate atmospheres. Brasserie, on the other hand, is not small and often loud, although food can be as good.

Brasserie for the first time began to destroy The -šlechta during the French Revolution. Chefs who worked for the nobility still wanted to show their gifts and skills and began to open numerous bistros, cafes and mosiery. Importantly, Brasserie offered wine or beer with food, while many cafes don't.

While we consider it unique to be every brasseria, many now run chain companies. The FLO chain is one of the larger Brasser companies in France and owns several well -known dining sites. These include La Coupol, Brasserie Flo, Julien and Bofinger. Chain devices can disappoint those who regularly visit Paris when they expect a more unique eating experience. Others argue that food in these specific facilities is still excellent, and unlike the more exclusive bisthers operated by the "named" chefs and formal restaurants, it is much easier to get food at the brasserie.

In addition to the administration of the appetizer, the brasserieHe usually has some amazing French desserts that are worth a visit. Crème Bruule and Soufflés often at the top of the list and an excellent target for good food. Do not forget to order fries with grilled dishes such as steak. Many claim that French fries are much better than their American cousins.

Brasserie offers good food at lower prices than restaurants. You can expect to spend between $ 20-70 US dollars (USD) in Brassery on food. Food is usually French, beautifully prepared, but is not served in the formal environment of the restaurant. Before dining in Brassery or England, Australia or in the US, ask for reservations. In some cases, the reservation may not wait quite a long time, especially with some of the most famous French brains.
