What is Farl?

Farl is an unstoppable form of bread popular throughout Ireland. It is made of the same dough as soda or potato cakes. The shape of the last piece of bread is what makes Farl Farl. It is a somewhat general term used to indicate flat bread, which is circular in baking, but then cut into a triangular neighborhood for consumption.

The term mainly concerns the way bread is cut rather than components. Popular Farl types include those that are made of soda bread and potato bread, which are somewhat atypical types of bread. It is not even made of yeast, because Ireland has a very humid climate, which makes it difficult to use wheat crops in the production of yeast bread that rises properly. To overcome this, the bread is traditionally made with only a few ingredients and comes out when baking.
