What is Heptatlon?
Heptatlon is a female sporting event that is designed as a female counterpart to Decathlon. Like other combined sports events, Heptatlon tests speed, strength, mobility and endurance athletes who compete in seven events over the course of two days. Training for Heptathlon requires the development of patients with the necessary skills and abilities, and Heptatties usually prefer to train with coaches specializing in the development of athletes for heptathlons. In addition to being an Olympic event, Heptathlon competitions are held around the world at different levels. The vault of the pole, the medium sprinting distance and the discussion that are included in the decathlon are omitted from the heptathlon. The event is adapted to female athletes that generally have a slightly less muscle mass and stamina than male athletes, although of course there are many female athletes that are much better than their male counterparts. Generally, Heptatlon is an event only for women, unlike DecAthlons that are technically open to men and women.
When training on Heptathlon, most coaches like to start early if they intend to develop athletes on a professional level. The foundations for skills and technology are laid early, usually aged 13 to 18 years. Hard exercise is not required at this stage because it can damage the body of the developing athlete. By focusing on the provision of the basic skills, the coach ensures that the athlete will have the body tuned to the performance that begins to train a heavy level.
In the first years of Heptatties training, they usually also work on speed and coordination, training with distance sprinting and working to be highly mobile in the field. One -costly was laid and the body of the athlete had time for maturation, the coach begins with a heavier work to improve endurance. Longer runs are integrated into training and athlete works with weights and other tools,so that he can play at the highest level.
by training athletes gently and in the stages, coaches avoid the phenomenon of plateau, which often occurs when athletes are developed too early. Although the athlete may initially progress jumps and limits, the inability to lay the foundations of coordination and skills can lead to serious injury. Training responsibly for the Heptatlon competition also ensures that the athlete will have a strong body throughout his life and later in his life will not suffer from painful conditions related to training too hard.
