What is the shiitake sponge protocol?

Shiitake Mushroom log is a protocol, usually hard wood used to grow a shiitake mushroom. These mushrooms can grow naturally in protocols or their spores can be placed in the protocol so that they can be grown for personal and commercial use. Shiitake mushrooms should be kept in shady, humid areas and take up to two years to produce fruit. These mushrooms are edible and naturally grow in a number of different types of cut wood. They can be eaten fresh or dried and often occur in Asian meals. Shiitake mushrooms are considered an excellent iron source, and it is highly recommended that vegans and vegetarians add these mushrooms to their diet to increase their iron consumption. They are also a good source of vitamins B and a number of important minerals. Mushrooms also have a low calorie content. It is assumed that this food can help in strengthening the body's immune system and heart health.

If you want to create a shiitake sponge, wood is needed as a growing medium for a sponge. Usually these mushrooms are grown in hard wood, but shiitake mushrooms can be grown on small, discarded protocols that would usually be destroyed or chip after login. Recommended types of wood for shiitake mushrooms include oak, beech and poplar, although other types of forests can be used.

After cutting the shiitake mushroom, it is cured for several weeks to several months. The protocol is then filled with shiitake mushrooms. Disputes can be purchased built into wooden dowels. The agreement is drilled to the log sponge of the Shiitake suitable size and a dowel filled with spores is placed in the drill hole.

Shiitake spores are placed in the protocol, the incubation period begins. It is recommended that this happens in a shaded and relatively humid outdoor environment. If such a humid space cannot be found or if several days without rain, the log Shiitake mushroom should be connected manually. At the same time the protocol should not be maintained fortoo wet, because it could encourage other mushrooms to grow in the protocol.

This incubation period takes several months to several years. Mushrooms appear in spring or autumn months. They should be harvested from the protocol as soon as possible after they appear.
