What is Bitter Lemon?
Bitter Lemon is an interesting, cake variation of tonic water. Usually tonic water is a carbon drink with a mixture of sweetener, caffeine and quinine. When lemon juice is added to this mixture, the drink becomes a bitter lemon. Chinin creates bitterness while lemon juice adds fluctuations. Sugar levels in a bitter lemon maintain the lemon element relatively sweet, but little to relieve the bitter taste of quinine. Many people, however, came to the taste of this ingredient, which was initially made in syrups in the fight against malaria. Others who did not care for taste reduced the taste of early tonic syrups and then tonically water by adding liberal amounts of alcohol to them, creating popular cocktails such as gin tonic. Since then, many fans have used soda as a replacement for tonic water. In some places of companies that are the main blender manufacturers such as Canada Dry® and Schweppes®, there are recipes for various bitter lemon cocktails. Classic includes adding gin or vodka to soda. Another drink used by the blender is the dark blue sea that mixes its shot with peach schnappy, blue Curacao and cordial lime.
It should be noted that other lemon drinks are usually not good substitutes for bitter lemon. If the drink does not contain chinin, it will usually not have a desired added flavor or taste in the cocktail. Although there are many excellent and relatively acidic carbonated lemon drinks such as Lemonata®, they are not bitter enough to use substitutes.
It is not necessary to add alcohol to this soda to enjoy it. It can be said that a soft drink has a small devoted tracking that would just think of adding ice. Bitter Lemon is definitely not equal to popularity like other drinks such as Colas, lemon lime soda or root beers. Since the interest in drinking a bitter lemon like pop is relatively small, it may be difficult to find a drink in most of the municipalitiesDeparting with food, even if some of them carry it. Instead, people are more lucky if they are looking for only drinks in alcohol stores or retailers.
