What is Clafoutis?

Clafoutis, also sometimes phrased clafouti, is a roast dessert that was created in the Limusin area in southern central France. His name, which comes from the word clafir, which means "fill", provides a precise help about its preparation, which includes lining a bowl with cherries and then "filling" a mixture of dough. Traditional clafoutis is always made with cherries, although many chefs have adapted food to concentrate around their favorite fruit or even spicy ingredients.
